My fiancé and I have recently been going through a tough time getting along and other problems. Late one night i was on my phone on instagram just scrolling through the search button looking at random peoples pictures and i stumbled onto a beautiful wedding picture with this beautiful couple and i read her caption that was talking about how marriage is not perfect and how she reccomend every couple to read from this day forward. I thought it was crazy because i have been praying for God to just send me a sign of what to do and here i am looking at this random couple's picture saying to read this book, so i bought the book. And let me tell you, I haven't even finished reading this yet, but so far it has really helped my relationship with my fiancé. We read a little bit every night together as an extra bible study. And I reccomend this book to every couple now! God works is mysterious ways and answers prayers!
This is a great book by Craig. His style of writing makes it feel as if he's having a conversation with you. Likes he's preaching specifically to you. I can be having the worst day and all I need to do is pick up a Craig Groeschel book and I start to feel lifted. The Christian atheist makes so many valid points about believing in God when our lifestyles depict otherwise. Many times this book put me in check and really had me reevaluating a lot of my actions.
I started reading this book as part of a class at church and enjoyed the book and discussion. It made me think about my Christian walk and where it is going.
I confess. I am a Christian atheist. This book made me realize although I call myself a Christian, I have not fully surrendered my life to Christ. This is the catalyst that I needed to start me on my way to becoming a true Christian.
Great book. A little simple but the concepts are solid. Easy to read, good for a book club. Each chapter stands on it's own so if you meet with your book club regularly it's ok if someone has missed a few meetings, they just have to read the chapters you're discussing at the time. We're using it for our women's bible study summer book club.
this book was truely amazing. I am sure it saved my marriage. Ten years ago I had an affair. It was a very difficult time for my husband and I although he never mentioned leaving. I thought we had made it through that time of our life and even became closer vowing never to take each other for granted and cherish every moment we had together. This past Janruary he told me he wanted a divorce. He said he never got over it and knew since that day he would leave but he was just waiting for the kids to be out and successful as adults. I was devestated and begged him not to leave. Over the course of 7 months he went back and forth changing his mind sometimes lasting as long as a day. In July he made me tell the kids that we were divorcing and why. My daughter gave us this cd and I listened to it and put it in his truck when he left for a hunting trip. I aslo wrote a 2 page letter to him praying for him. His peace and happiness. I prayed that he would seek God as he had been angry with him ever since the affair 10 years ago because he prayed for me everyday and God let this happen. When he came home from the trip he wanted to try again and we have been together since. Thank you pastor Craig. I have shared this cd with many people.
I'm only half through this book and I love it. It is very convicting and helps you realize how much we live like we don't have God.
This book is both encouraging and challenging. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be challenged in their faith and wants a closer walk with God. The book arrived promptly and in the condition which the seller stated upon my ordering it. Thank you.
