This book has too many typo's and the lab book that goes with it is even worse. This made it very hard to learn from. Even my instructor was confused.
I originally rated this book well after purchasing at Amazon but I was wrong, because after the first chapter the book and lab book stop following each other. The lab book is loaded with misprints and impossible items to program as they state for you to do it, (this is awful for a learner in a class made for the student to figure it out), but is also exceptionally confusing.A good book as written for a beginner is written to be understood by someone who has no prior understanding. If my friends read the first page of my "beginner" book and are as confused as I am about what it said then I know the book is poorly written and it is not from my own lack of understanding. This book begins well but fails miserably the further one gets in it. The lab book should be banned from print. I do not recommend this book or it's companion, the lab book, to anyone.
Great labs to help improve PLC knowledge. Just wish there was more to the explanation of each lab.

The book provided me excelent information for getting up to date on PLCs.
Just like everyone's book in my class
This is the lab book to the actual book you want to buy. This manual assumes access to certain plc equipment that more than likely your school( or you personally) do not own.Not to mention this is structured to keep the answers from you. I never understood texts that do not provide the answers to the questions they ask of the reader. If you buy a text it should serve to educate with or without a formal classroom setting.
TEXTBOOK WAS EXTREMELY WELL TAKEN CARED OFF... SOME PENCIL MARKS BUT EASILY REMOVED... CD-ROM WAS INCLUDED AS THE ITEM DESCRIPTION STATED AND WAS STILL SEALED IN THE BOOKS ENVELOPE... ARRIVAL OF TEXT TOOK LESS THAN ONE WEEK...
